♣ The Mission

Saint Patrick’s School is a non-discriminatory, Catholic, co-educational institution of learning for students in Pre-K through eighth grade. The purpose of Saint Patrick’s School is to provide quality education which develops knowledge, stimulates growth, and forms life-enriching experiences in a God-centered atmosphere. Saint Patrick’s acknowledges that a child’s development varies greatly from pre-school through adolescence, and that, therefore, academic and social needs should be met differently at different stages. The educational process, which begins with the parent, is enhanced by a professionally prepared staff committed to the development of the individual student’s skills and talents. We seek, in cooperation with parents, to provide a total program of instruction based on the spiritual, moral, social, intellectual, and physical needs of each child.

The St. Patrick's Difference

Girl in Computer LabSpiritually, our religious commitment is based on the concept that Christ is present in every person. Saint Patrick’s strives to enable students to live and act with Christian insight and to develop a personal relationship with God. Children are provided with extensive opportunities to participate in Eucharistic liturgies and paraliturgical services, to serve others in the community, and to receive instruction in the doctrines and traditions of the Catholic faith. The moral/social realm of development is an extension of the spiritual foundation offered at Saint Patrick’s. The school environment provides programs and role models that emphasize the importance of respect for the individual, appropriate social behavior, and Christian moral values. Community service projects deepen the social conscience of the students and provide real life application of the religious principles learned in the classroom. Each child is helped to view himself/herself as an integral part of a Christ-like community. Working together on shared interests and goals fosters cooperation among peers and appreciation for the skills and talents of others. School spirit is enhanced by the sense of self-esteem and accomplishment which comes from participation in meaningful activity. Within this framework, students are encouraged to explore their feelings and interpersonal relationships, and to develop a positive self image. Physically, children are encouraged to develop skills, interests, and habits that will assist them in maintaining a physically active and healthy lifestyle. Sportsmanship is constantly emphasized. The span of years from Pre-K to early teen provides an arena for endless possibilities of growth in all areas of childhood development. Our charge at Saint Patrick’s School is to help each child advance toward his/her potential in each of these dimensions of growth, and most particularly as a child of God.
