♣ The Parents: Yet Another St. Patrick's Difference
1 - 2 - 3
It should come as no surpise, given its student body's academic achievments and the school's strong spirtual under-pinnings, that St. Patrick's has one of the most active and passionate community of parents in the region. St. Pat's School Parents Association (S.P.A.) meets regularly, with a charter to promote communication and cooperation among all those who play a role in the education of the children of St. Patrick's School, to assist the School by volunteer services and fund-raising, to help finance extracurricular activities of the students and to assure the continuation of the Language, Computer, Art and Remediation Programs. Co-Presidents Rosemarie Schmidt and Laura Lang, assisted by Vice-President Audra Brown, Secretary Ava Proctor, Lisa Skelton, who maintains the bylaws, and Treasurer Sally DeVino work tirelessly with the school and parish administrations, as well as the faculty, local munipalities, outside vendors, and other caring parents to create and maintain a fun-filled and prosperous program of diverse events and initiatives.
The S.P.A.'s Membership Committee Alice Ryan, Jennifer Vespucci, and Susan Mucilli is actively looking for new members. Please consider joining, and contributing a little bit of time and energy to any of the many worthwhile efforts which help St. Pat's thrive.

There's a Volunteer Program for Every Schedule!
◊ Shamrock Auction and Dinner Dance: This evening of Dinner, Dancing, and a fundraising Auction is set for March 20 at the Colonial Terrace in Cortlandt Manor. There are many sponsorship opportunities, and these present a unique advertising opportunity for local businesses. The S.P.A still needs help in procuring auction items, and donated items are tax deductible. Please contact Sue Solazzo, Michelle McKearney, or Anna Bravo for more information.
◊ Ambassador Family Program: This program links families of currently enrolled students with incoming families who are new to St. Patrick's School. The main objective of this program is two-fold: to welcome new families with warmth and spirit and serve as an additional resource for their acclimation to St. Patrick's School. Contact Sue Solazzo for more information.
◊ Boxtops for Education: Clip out any "boxtops for education" coupons on General Mills products and send them in to school with your child. There is more information online here, or contact Geraldine Gilmore.
◊ School Sports: Coaches, ticket takers, and kitchen help are always needed. For Basketball (November 1 to March 1) or Volleyball (March 15 to June 1) contact Debbie Powers, for Soccer (Fall and Spring) contact Geraldine Gilmore.
◊ Campbell's Soup Labels: Clip labels off of Campbell's soup tins and send in to school with your child. For more information online visit here or contact Marie Bergin at 914.962.2211.
